Spain has much more to offer than just sun and beaches. Even if you’re just going on a typical beach holiday on the sandy Costa Blanca, nearby you’ll find interesting places to visit, and which are completely different to the crowded coast.
Costa Blanca are mainly beaches â€“ long and sandy ones â€“ and so in this sense are some of the nicest on the southeastern coast of Spain.Â Unfortunately, most of the coast is developed with what in many cases are somewhat chaotically constructed buildings, with taller apartment blocks vying for nicer views.Â However, there are also some jewels here and there, and for lovers of minimally more active breaks and beautiful scenery, the cliff walk – Ruta de los Acantilados – in Benitachell is one of them.
It’s time for the blog to live up to its name and come back to the area around Madrid, as most of the recent blog entries have been dominated by my travels around Spain. Today, another suggestion for a short trip close to Madrid.
